CHELSEA is assumed to sign up to a huge new USA pre-seasonal tournament.

An increasing  number of Premier League clubs have been heading Stateside over the past decade during the summer.

Now those friendly matches are due to have an extra edge from this year onwards.

According to the Athletic, who state that no longer will English clubs be competing in just one-off games. A handful of clubs will be taking place in a tournament and organizers are now confident they have their first Big Six team on board. And that powerhouse is believed to be Chelsea, who are owned by American billionaire Todd Boehly.

A report claims they are  likely to feature in a move that is a boost for the organizers. The competition details, such as venues and timings, are yet to be finalized and so are the confirmed teams who are to participate in it.

In addition to Graham Potter’s facts, Tottenham are also thinking of  joining the competition. They chose to trip South Korea at the start of this campaign. Chelsea did spend it last pre-season in the States with stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando and Charlotte.

A host of other big clubs did the same, with Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus also touring the US.
