ARSENAL are still hoping to strike deal for Moises Caicedo ahead of this season's transfer deadline.
Arsenal is said to have a plan in mind to sign Declan Rice West Ham captain this summer and are willing to sign Brighton's Midfielder no matter what happens.
The Bosses of Premier League have given a go ahead by owner Stan Kroenke to get Caicedo's deal over the line. That is even if it takes paying a club-record fee. They have already had two of their offer rejected by Brighton owner Tony Bloom, who keeps on saying that the Caicedo, 21, Ecuador international is not for sale no matter the price. But Arsenal is ready to make one last offer to convince the Seagulls by means of cash and are willing to go as high as £75million. Arsenal’s refusal to take ‘no’ for an answer suggests Brighton could go to the wire tonight after Caicedo submitted an official transfer request at the weekend.
Brighton are sixth in the Premier League and through to the FA Cup fifth round. And Caicedo is seen as a key figure to their hopes of qualifying for Europe for the first time in their history. The Gunners noted that Brighton have just signed a potential replacement of Caicedo after agreeing a £5.25m deal for Yasin Ayani Swedish Under-21 star. They also believe Roberto De Zerbi Seagulls boss is coming with the idea of selling Caicedo after he said: “I’d like it if he can finish the season with us but we are ready to go forward without him.”
Caicedo is been told to stay away until the window has closed. However, De Zerbi is happy to accommodate the player’s return to the team even though the club is not happy with his behavior.
