BARCELONA suffers an injury blow ahead of their clash with Manchester United after Sergio Busquets limped off last night.

The victory of FC Barcelona yesterday against Sevilla came with a cost after Busquets contract an injury just some minutes after the start of the clash. The midfielder needed a treatment from the medical team on his ankle after a violent challenge from Youssef En-Nesyri Sevilla’s forward. Busquets was replaced by Franck Kessie after he had try to play despite the injury.


The injury of the midfielder is making Xavi sweat about the fitness of his captain after thinking of what is ahead of them. That is the clash between FC Barcelona and Manchester United. The club only has a week before their next clash but against Villareal in the top-flight. Manchester United is expected to give a visit to Camp Nou on 16th of this month for the first leg of their Europa League. A returning match from Camp Nou to Old Trafford is said to come off on February 19 of this month.

He made over 600 total appearances for the club and has won 30 trophies, including 8 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey titles and 3 UEFA Champions Leagues. He was part of the squads that won a continental treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League in 2008–09 and 2014–15.
